Diners Behaving Badly
A few thoughts on the Chron's recent article about diners behaving badly...
1) Not all restaurant owners consider sex in the bathroom to be a bad thing. One restuarant owner told me that they want their restrooms to be "f%&#able." But please do leave the sink intact for the next customer(s). They may need it for the same reason. And failing to wash your hands before returning to the dining room is just plain rude.
2) I propose a boycott of Pizzaiolo on grounds of extreme arrogance. It doesn't sound as if Charlie Hallowell abhors HFCS so much as he abhors customers who don't like being told what they can drink. The woman offered to pay corkage for the Coke. She's not the one behaving badly, Hallowell is.
3) I suspect that Fish and Farm got it wrong. I suspect that the woman who threw the wine bottle through the plate glass window while screaming at the top of her lungs wasn't mad at her SO. I'm guessing that she'd just found out that Fish Farm's salmon is farm raised.
4) To the line cook who's mad at people doing coke in the bathroom at Nopa, one word: WD-40. A little WD-40 sprayed on the horizontal surfaces will take care of that coke snorting problem quite nicely. It might cause a clothes staining problem or a hazardous materials problem but I can only solve one issue at a time.
