-Friendly
UPDATED: April 27, 2008
A former colleague suggested an improvement to my review format that I started to use with my Beretta post.
At the end, I’ve added a -Friendly line as in Kid-Friendly, Date-Friendly, etc. Over time, I’ll try to go back and update my older review with this information but no promises on how long that will take.
When appropriate, I’ll note if a place is Kid-Friendly, Fun Date-Friendly, Romantic Date-Friendly, Casual Business Meeting-Friendly, Formal Business Meeting-Friendly, Hangover-Friendly,
Let me know if you have ideas for other types of -Friendliness that I should incorporate.

Grump-friendly?
Hearing-impaired-friendly, or conversation-friendly might be options. That's a factor I always consider when taking Mom out. It doesn't have to be completely quiet, but some places it's so loud that it really detracts from the experience.

Good suggestion...I'll add it.
I'm chagrined that I didn't think of it myself, especially being in SF, where the Chron was the first major newspaper to include sound-level in its reviews. I had noise in the back of my mind when thinking about business meetings and hangovers but, you're right, it's elemental.
Also, upon further review, casual and formal date-friendly don't really capture what I mean. I'm gonna change them to fun date-friendly and romantic date- friendly. Not that fun and romance can't go together, but sometimes you want a patry atmosphere for a date and somes a quiet, intimate setting.
